Leather Pride Coming Soon

The heat will be turned up a couple notches as Palm Springs celebrates Leather Pride Nov. 12-15. Events include a Formal Leather Dinner, several bar “cruise” parties and a vendor market. The big highlight will be the Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2010 Contest with the winner representing the Palm Springs Desert Cities at the International Mr. Leather Contest in Chicago. This year will mark the return of the Turning Up the Heat Pool Party and Barbeque. A limited number of VIP Weekend Packages are still available. Leather Pride is presented by the Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert (PSLOD) which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Halloween at All Worlds Resorts

Halloween promises to be a little bit scary and a whole lot sexy as All Worlds Resorts presents their first annual Halloween Night of Spooks on Sat., Oct. 31. To mark the festive occasion, the venue will be hosting live entertainment with a DJ and free snacks and drinks. Some cool prizes will be offered and you can expect plenty of naked hunks running around. Being Halloween, you can expect other surprises as well. The scary fun will start at 8 p.m. and the party continues until 5 a.m. Cost of participation is $15, $7 for members and free for staying guests. For room availability, contact the hotel. All Worlds Resort is an exclusive all-male resort located in the Warm Sands area of Palm Springs.

Desert Business Association to Mark 30 Years

The Desert Business Association has launched a new website—with a crisp new design and easy-to-read calendar of events page. The organization marks its 30-year anniversary this year and will be releasing an anniversary edition of their annual directory at the end of the year. Interested businesses have this month to buy into the book, which will feature a fresh new look and logo. The DBA is the only gay business association in the Coachella Valley and its mission is to promote and support LGBT and LGBT-friendly businesses, professionals and individuals who have joined together for humanitarian, educational and business purposes. Upcoming mixers include one on Mon., Oct. 26 at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and one immediately following Palm Springs Pride on Mon., Nov. 9 at ABC Recovery Center. Sneak Preview — The Official Palm Springs Pride Parties

Get ready to party! Greater Palm Springs Pride is officially marking their 2009 celebration with two Festival T-Dances over the weekend and is presenting two official Pride Parties at Hotel Zoso as well.

In collaboration with L Spot Palm Springs, the Festival T-Dance for the women will be on Sat., Nov. 7 from 1-5 p.m. and will feature DJ Asha (L.A.) and DJ Olga (SF). The Festival T-Dance for the men will be on Sun., Nov. 8 from 1-5 p.m. It is being presented in collaboration with CastroBear.com and will feature DJ David Wade.

Both dances are free with a festival ticket purchase and will be on the festival grounds at the Palm Springs Baseball Stadium at Sunrise Park. Ticket prices are $15 for a single day or $20 for the weekend.

“Gloss” is the Palm Springs Pride Official Women’s Party at Hotel Zoso. Doors open at 9 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 7 and both DJ Asha and DJ Olga will be spinning dance, funk, Latin and pop Hits. Tickets are $15 if purchased in advance online or $20 at the door. The event is being advertised as a “scandalous party for women who love women and their friends.”

“Sweat” is the Palm Springs Pride Official Men’s Party at Hotel Zoso. Things get underway at 10 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 7 with guest DJ John LePage. Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance online or $30 at the door and $40 after midnight. Greyhouse Productions will be presenting the hot male dancers. This event is being co-produced with CastroBear.com and Tony M Presents.

Hotel Zoso is located at 150 N. Indian Canyon Dr. in Downtown Palm Springs, one block from Arenas Road.
