A big "thank you" for printing the Spiritual Reference
Guide in [Vol.27, issue 18] Frontiers. But why no Pagans
or Wiccans? Earth-based traditions are among the fastest
growing religious groups in the nation, and the majority
are welcoming of GLBTIs. Yes, we're structured somewhat loosely
and can be difficult to find if one isn't looking, but we're
out there in big numbers. Here's a couple of references that
you might consider adding to next year's directory:
Los Angeles County Queer Pagans Meetup
meetup.com/lacountyqueerpagans
Los Angeles/Hollywood Pagans and Witches (not specifically
a gay group, but gay-owned and very gay-friendly)
pagan.meetup.com/834
Both hold monthly events and offer great networking and
resource opportunities for Pagans of every stripe.

Hidden Gems
I have to say that your piece by Michael Anthony [“When
Plans Change: In Sickness and in Health,” Vol. 27, issue
19], struck two chords in me. The first was that it seemed
almost out of place in the magazine. We are a community where
many are dealing with caring for partners with HIV and AIDS-related
complications. This piece seemed to try to hint at this "burden" but
disguised as an issue removed from our community.
When I shared that article with my partner (healthy for 10
years and counting, god bless!) I was struck by his reaction.
He was extremely moved to tears. He noted how un-cliche the
piece was and how it made a point to our community without
playing on stereotypes. He said it was one of the best pieces
he's read in Frontiers lately.
I've since re-read the piece a couple more times, and it
now strikes a new chord in me. It is affecting and very well
done. Thank you Frontiers, for sometimes taking the road
less obvious.

Correction:
In [“New Prop. 8 Studies Raise Questions About Strategy,”
Vol. 27, issue 19], we erroneously named the “We Are Family
March” sponsor. Accurately, Somos Familia, an unincorporated
organization voicing support for their LGBT brothers and
sisters, sponsored and organized the event. We regret the
error.
