Industry at Numbers Brings the Porn Stars Out To Play

Los Angeles has long been the entertainment industry capital of the world, the center of nearly all music and film entering the public eye. But for every Hollywood film that gets made in L.A.'s city limits, there are nearly 25 as many adult films produced, shot and distributed out of Los Angeles County. Needless to say, there are a lot of porn stars running around L.A., particularly those who work in gay films. While the government has yet to require tracking devices on these gentlemen, a new West Hollywood party has proven to be just as useful.

Industry is the new Wednesday night party at Numbers, a venue with its own history of working boys. The party is hosted by Jason Sechrest of jasoncurious.com, who has been hosting events in Los Angeles for nearly 10 years now. While other parties around town may bring out the occasional porn star for special events, as Sechrest remarks, “Industry blows all other gay porn events in Los Angeles out of the water, because instead of just spotlighting a featured porn star of the week, Numbers brings you 10 nearly naked gay porn stars every Wednesday.” Who can deny that 10 porn stars are better than one?

Because Numbers is principally a restaurant, Industry opens its doors at 6 p.m., when tables and booths are available for seating. While Numbers is an acclaimed restaurant, and the food has always been amazing, the focal point of Wednesday nights seems to have more to do with the recognizable naked men floating around the bar. And here is one night when the boys are not merely for show. “You can have cocktails or dinner with them, have them feed you dessert, dance for you, all for just tipping them. It's got the feel of a gentleman's club, but with the boys you get off to onscreen. We bring you closer to the porn stars than any venue has yet to do.”

For those not looking to sit down and eat, preferring simply to gawk at the porn stars, the restaurant has plenty of room near the bar area to accommodate you. Patrons will be treated to music throughout the night, making Numbers nearly as much a nightclub as it is a restaurant. The crowd on Wednesday nights consists of both younger and older men, with the younger guys generally hanging out at the bar, and the older of the crowd often having dinner in a booth with bottle service.
