Love and Marriage

Let’s face it, we’re living in frightening times. Our economy is in dire straights (I hear a collective sigh at the mere mention of the words Wall Street or Main Street lately), and the thought of a woman who believes that being gay is a choice being “a heartbeat away from the White House” is truly terrifying to most of us. I urge all of our readers to not only get registered to vote next month (visit sos.ca.gov/nvrc/fedform for your convenience), but to please vote no on Prop. 8. Whether or not you’re coupled, the right to marry should be fundamental so let’s unite to defeat this affront to our civil rights.

With so much uncertainty weighing on our thoughts, the last thing any of us needs to worry about is finding romance. We’ve all heard stories of how shallow the L.A. dating pool is and how difficult it can be to meet quality, single men. I even have a friend who recently went out with a guy and midway through the evening they both realized they’d already been on a date earlier in the year. Dating shouldn't be so challenging so we've tried to make it easier for you. In our cover feature on page 44, we’ve selected a diverse group of 10 of L.A.’s most eligible gay men who are currently available for dating. We asked each to fill out a simple questionnaire and even obtained testimonials for each from close friends. How could it be any easier? I hope you’ll take a chance and contact one of these great guys.

I’m certain you will find this issue entertaining and informative and as always, I welcome your feedback. Write in to letters@frontierspublishing.com to let us know what you think.

Yours,

Jeremy Kinser
