Home Away From Home
I recently finished reading the second of your articles
about Palm Springs (Nov. 6, 2007 issue), a place I’ve
visited on numerous occasions, the most recent being for
a week at the beginning of November. Hotels, resorts, etc.
are always mentioned but there is another way to enjoy Palm
Springs and the neighboring communities and that is renting
a home, townhouse or condo. I utilized the astounding, superlative
services of the gay owned and operated Sun & Fun Vacation
Rentals at 877/322-7961 or via www.sunandfunvacationrentals.com.
I enjoyed an incredible home and the pictures on their website
are exactly what you’ll experience.

Still on Edge
Add my name to the list of appreciative readers who think
that the Conscious Living section is a great addition to
the magazine. Not that I don’t like reading about where
to find the perfect cocktail or the hottest physical specimens
in L.A., it’s just that the section fills a need for
those of us who think we’re fairly advanced as a subspecies.
I think Dr. Kilhefner gets it just right (“Setting
Them Straight,” Jan. 1 issue) when he disses Rodriguez/Gates,
et. al., the demographic/sociologist specialists without
noticeable brain waves. I mean, some of my best friends are
straight, but do they all have to be so clueless? Keep up
the good work. Sooner or later, even those who watch Project
Runway may realize how useless and unoriginal the heterosexual
milieu has become.

Straight Talk
I just finished reading Don Kilhefner's Edging Out column "Setting
Them Straight." The article was brilliant and his ideas
are breathtaking. Just what I have longed to read in Frontiers
for years. In the last four or five months it seems like
Frontiers is coming alive again and I want to encourage you
to keep turning up the heat. It's a delight reading the new
Frontiers. And keep feeding Edging Out. It's really enlightening
reading it. I look forward to the column.

CORRECTION:
Due to a formatting error, several listings were omitted
from the “Spiritual Guidance” feature in the
Jan. 15 issue. Look for a comprehensive version on our
website (www.frontierspublishing.com). Also in the same
article, Rev. Vajra Karuna, a gay man, was misidentified
as a lesbian. We regret the error.
