The Goodies on Hoodies

In a city where it’s rare to have actual jacket weather, it’s no wonder the casual yet comfortable hoodie is the cold weather clothing of choice. We bring you some of our favorite stylish and snuggly options.

We absolutely love these super hip, screen-printed hoodies by Wet Cement. Made out of premium lightweight cotton and featuring a v-neck, these hoodies are perfect for layering under a jacket to give you warmth without bulk. Both are available for $99 at Just One L.A. (7978 Santa Monica Blvd.; www.justonela.com)

Girls who love other girls going wild will go crazy for the Girls Gone Wild clothing line that provides all kinds of colorful options for when going topless is not a choice. We can totally see some ladies rocking this cut-off hoodie to show off their Jackie Warner inspired arms. Available for $15 at www.ggwapparel.com.

For those who want to go green or in this case rust, REI’s organic cotton hoodies manage to look completely rugged while still being one of the softest we’ve ever felt. Plus we love that they’re made of environmentally sustainable materials. Available for $49 at www.rei.com.

According to Moosejaw’s website, we’re super cool for knowing the name of the film that inspired this “Marie DeSalle” hoodie for music lovers. If you know the answer as well, 100 points will be added to your Moosejaw account. Available for $40 at www.moosejaw.com.

You’ll feel like a Champion in this basic, yet built to last Super Hood available in sizes XL to 6XL. Featuring generous pouch pockets, ribbed cuffs and double hem, this street tough hoodie will last you a lifetime. Available in a wide range of colors for $65 at www.championusa.com.

We’re not quite sure if the adorable graphic is a squirrel with wings, but we absolutely love these Topo Ranch sueded fleece hoodies. Featuring contrast stitching on the shoulder and an embroidered hood, the Topo front zip style is available in multiple colors for $112. If the solid colored pullover style is more your thing, the super soft Stowaway style goes for $102 at www.toporanch.com.

Perhaps they are best known for their stylish yoga wear, however you don’t have to be able to hold a downward dog to want to own this Prana flux hoodie. Whether you love the waffle print outside, the bonda sherpa inside, or the embroidery on the chest, this zip up style looks just as good when hitting the gym as it does in the club. Available for $68 at www.prana.com.
