Pay it forward

I appreciated Assia Mortensen's article ["The Credit Quagmire," Oct. 23, 2007] raising the issue of unmanageable debt. However, there is one suggestion not mentioned in the article that I would like to mention now. Debtors Anonymous (D.A.) is a 12-Step fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from compulsive debting. Making history

The cover of your issue with Peter Paige and the cast of The History Boys [Nov. 21, 2007] is beautiful. The photo is stark and dramatic, yet allows the natural handsomeness of the men to shine through. It's a nice change from some of your covers during the past few years which seemed to emphasize whimsical or too stylized concepts of your cover subjects. I think you've finally struck the perfect balance. Good work.
